Step by Step Illustrations

1

Cut a 1/8" deep x 1/16" wide groove or score the surface.

2

Roughen the surface each side of the groove to the width of the proposed profile with sandpaper.

3

Clean all dust from groove and either side of proposed profile with K-Cleaner or Isopropyl alcohol.
4

Apply K-Tape to all sides of groove to the desired width needed for K-Grip profile (i.e. 3/8").

5

To insure K-Grip is properly mixed, waste 2"-3" prior to placing K-Grip between taped areas.

6

With light pressure on the applicator, eject K-Grip into the groove in an even bead.

7 Smooth K-Grip into the groove to the depth of the tape. 8 Remove K-Tape immediately by pulling up and away from profile. Dispose of used K-Tape.

9 Cure with heat gun at least 4" away from K-Grip for about 10 minutes per lineal feet.
10 After using heat gun, final profile is ready for foot traffic in 20-40 minutes.
